Bloomberg IRO from Tigrelab on Vimeo.

This time the guys at Aggressive asked us to work on a new advert for Bloomberg, a mineral abstraction of the financial world seen through a microscope.

Just like the Bloombert IB project, the animation of the tables, graphics and data were a fundamental part of the dynamic, technlogical and futuristic aesthetic of the advert. Our role consisted in animating the 3D elements, 2D graphics and data tables and putting otgether both within the microscopic world. All this under the artistic direction of Dan Shapiro and Alex Topaller.

Nuestra roll fue animar los entornos 3D, darle vida a los graficos 2D y componer ambos en este mundo microscopico. Todo esto bajo la direccion artistica de Dan Saphiro y Alex Topaller.

Generative Artefacts – The Magic Melody (Singapore 2013) from Tigrelab on Vimeo.

The Magic Melody was an interactive video mapping projected on the façade of the Singapore Art Museum during Singapore’s 2013 Night Festival. The installation ran for ten days every night and included a video mapping show every half hour with the interactive part running in-between.

After the video show, the interactive was projected onto the building and the public could interact with the façade with eight tablets available in front of the museum facade. The interaction consisted of a pseudo game without any objective or fixed rules but that related to the idea of playing just for fun and learning through experimentation and failure. Each player used a different colour and interacted with the cells generated from the centre of the building, colouring and moving them around, creating endless patterns on the facade.

We wrote the Magic Melody system using OpenFrameworks and an amazing Box2d physics library through Vanderlin’s ofxBox2d add-on, which allowed me to make the cells interact with the windows and the building transmitting a sense of physical presence of the projection.

DJ Set Visuals – Samsung Galaxy S4 Turkey launch from Tigrelab on Vimeo.

We developed part of the video mapping content for the Samsung S4 launch in Istanbul and Ankara for the Dream Box agency in Turkey.

The projection structure measured 45m x10m and we used eight Lumens projectors to cover the giant surface area.

The show was split into three parts, we were in charge of the final and most experimental one, in which we developed animated abstract graphics that were synchronized with the first track in Bob Sincliar’s DJ set.
